A strong appearance at insureNXT 2025 in Cologne
On May 14 and 15, 2025, Tallence AG was represented for the first time together with ImageSign at insureNXT 2025. Over 3,300 participants, 150 exhibitors and more than 200 international speakers make the event the leading marketplace for future-oriented innovations in the insurance industry.
As experts in the digital transformation and modernization of IT systems, we take the opportunity to exchange ideas with leading insurers and talk about solutions to current challenges in the insurance industry.
The most important trends at insureNXT 2025
The most important trends at insureNXT 2025
1. Artificial Intelligence
The focus was on process automation and the use of chat, telephone and video bots. How can we provide (even) better support to policyholders? How can we streamline internal processes and share our knowledge with all employees? Exciting innovations await us all here, because there were plenty of high-quality answers to these questions!
2. From AI pilot to real implementation
One of the biggest challenges of AI in the insurance industry is turning use cases into business cases and transforming pilot projects into real enterprise solutions. With our many years of expertise in digital transformation and integration in the enterprise sector, we at Tallence offer the perfect conditions for transforming innovative start-up solutions into secure, scalable and highly available platforms.
3. Growth through digital sales channels
Embedded insurance is the buzzword here. How can insurance be sold to end customers more easily, but without any loss of trust? The trend says that this type of marketing will grow. The industry agrees that many new technologies still await us here and are currently being implemented.
4. Innovation vs. core processes
There was no getting around innovation at InsureNXT. However, innovation always requires one thing: a good basis on which to build. Like many other companies, insurers today are at a point where core processes need to be renewed. Keyword data migration, replacement of legacy, etc. These projects, which often feel like open-heart surgery, need to be tackled. Here too, service providers are at the doorstep with the latest solutions so that SMEs in particular are not left behind by the large corporations.
Digital identity as a key topic: simplify processes, save time, improve communication.
One highlight: secure digital identity as the basis for future use cases - from fraud prevention and digital application processes to automated claims processing.
We presented a current practical example with our customer ImageSign:
Successful implementation of the new e-passport photo regulation
Since May 1, 2025, biometric passport photos for official documents must be submitted digitally.
ImageSign has implemented this process securely and efficiently with its C5-certified cloud solution: Customer photos are transmitted directly and GDPR-compliant to authorities.
This project shows how regulatory requirements and modern technology interact perfectly and enable new applications - e.g. for digital identity verification, fraud prevention or digital onboarding in the insurance industry.
“The insurance industry is also in the process of simplifying processes through technology,” explains Frederike Haupt, Product Manager at ImageSign. ”Especially in the area of claims reporting, companies lose money and time talking to the insured, securing evidence and approving or denying payouts. Unfortunately, securing evidence and describing the incident is still highly problematic. Forms are rarely used and smaller insurers in particular receive vast amounts of faxes, letters and handwritten claims. Until everything is sorted out, time and money are lost. This is where our ImageSign solution and our Flow come in, helping policyholders to capture images of sufficient quality as evidence after reporting a claim.”
In addition, the images are signed with the time and location so that it is clear to the claim handler WHERE and WHEN the image was taken: Is it the right house? Is it a recent photo?
This immediately prevents the possibility of uploading falsified or edited images. In the case of minor damage, you can even avoid the need for an expert to visit. The settlement and processing of the claim can thus be made faster and safer.
